Christine discovered Pilates in 2006 upon taking a semi-private session at a Pilates studio in BC. During that first class, she was instantly hooked on the method! She loved not only the discipline and control and focus of Pilates, but also the serene, intimate studio environment which really spoke to the introvert in her who had never felt comfortable in loud, busy gyms. Christine immediately signed up for 5 weekly classes in order to qualify for instructor training in Vancouver. Within a few months she was accepted into the program and began working towards her 450 hour certification. Upon earning her diploma as a Certified Stott Pilates ® Instructor, Christine returned to Peace River where she opened the studio and continues to teach and expand her knowledge 10 years later! In addition to being a Yoga Alliance RYT 500®️, she holds Total Barre ® and Zen•Ga ™️ certifications in addition to fulfilling her lifelong passion for holistic living by earning a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition.
Sam has been living in Canada for over 10 years, and is the proud mom of 4 grown children. She came to Pilates as an ex professional Ballet dancer who was struggling with long term and neglected injuries from her dance career. After a monh of Pilates lessons, she found she could run down stairs again rather than holding the wall! This sparked an inner desire to learn more about the why and how of Pilates, and an obsession to understand functional (and dysfunctional) movement. She has since spent a decade aquiring hundreds of hours of Pilates training with numerous specializations such as: Essential and Intermediate Mat repertoire, Intensive Reformer for Beginner and Advanced, Intensive Barrels for Beginner and Advanced, Intensive Beginner and Advanced Chair, Intensive Cadillac, Injuries and Special Populations, plus Total Barre and TRX Sam enjoys working with a varied clientele and has a special interest in working with post-physio clients and actively aging clients!
