Owner, Licensed Acupuncturist, Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Stephanie has been working in the field of acupuncture since 2005. After receiving an Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree in Naturopathic Chemistry from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, she went on to receive a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon. As founder of AcuTribe Health & Wellness, a Fairbanks based clinic that focuses on community wellness in Alaska, Stephanie knows the importance of treating the root of illness rather then just the symptoms. Her love for her homeland and passion to provide complimentary and alternative healthcare options to our communities are what drive her to work both here in Fairbanks, as well as travel to rural communities to provide services. Stephanie is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is trained and certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), specializing in treating drug and alcohol addicts in rehabilitation. She is trained in traditional Chinese medicine theory, acupuncture theory and practice, Chinese herbal medicine, biomedicine, qi (pronounced “chee”) cultivation (increasing the body’s vital energy), Tuina, a Chinese form of therapeutic massage and Sotai, a neuromuscular re-education therapy. In addition, Stephanie is trained and certified through Acupuncturist Without Borders.
Dr. Dena G. Joyce is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Alaska, New York and New Jersey and is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the NCCAOM. She received her Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York. During her studies she interned at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She completed advanced training in neuropuncture, men's health, labor and delivery, fertility acupuncture and NADA protocol. She received her Bachelor of Science from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. Before becoming an acupuncturist, she spent many years working in the advertising industry. She knows first-hand the repercussions of the ever-increasing expectations, stress and responsibilities in our daily-lives. She is committed to helping her patients achieve a healthy and more balanced lifestyle.
Dianna is a recent graduate of the Massage Therapy program at Alaska’s Institute of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Massage in Anchorage, AK. She graduated with honors and was the first in her class to complete all requirements of the program for licensure. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Complementary and Alternative Medicine through Ashford University in 2015. Natural healing is her passion after a full career in the US Army. She was a mechanic on the Apache Helicopter and knows well the toll military service can put on the body. Dianna is looking forward to helping you heal through bodywork based on Swedish Massage, Deep tissue, Oncology Massage, Cupping and Gua Sha.
Alison L.Wilcinski, L.Ac, M.Ac., EMT Alison is a licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Alaska and is a certified Diplomat of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She earned a masters degree in Acupuncture from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado, graduating with 2525 comprehensive program hours. She is formally trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), biomedical sciences, the Dr. Tan balance method, auricular acupuncture, as well as in the modalities of moxibustion, gua sha, cupping, diet therapy, tuina and shiatsu bodywork. Prior to joining the acupuncture field, Alison worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). While working in the field of emergency medicine, she witnessed the limitations of traditional Western Medicine for the prevention and treatment of disease. In particular, people with chronic pain conditions and mental health disorders were ineffectively and under treated. Therefore, she sought out Chinese Medicine in an effort to improve the care of individuals. In her free time, Alison enjoys being in the garden, nourishing the health and wellness of her plants. She applies the same care and nurturing to her clients. She encourages active participation in the development of treatment goals to foster self care so one may flourish in health.
Krystal has been a licensed massage therapist since 2005, specializing in trigger point therapy, deep tissue, sports massage, and injury rehabilitation. Over the years, Krystal has amassed extensive experience working alongside chiropractors, other health facilitators, and within spas. Additionally, she has imparted her knowledge of massage theory and technique as an instructor at the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy. Krystal emphasizes the significance of intention in the healing process, firmly asserting that therapists must possess a genuine passion for their vocation and a fervent desire to aid their clients in the healing journey. Krystal's expertise and intentional approach enable her to furnish her clients with an enriching healing experience.
