Welcome! My name is Chelsie and I am an art therapist/life coach. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2004 from Kutztown University. I then worked in and around Philadelphia with kids ranging in age from 4-13. I helped them cultivate the life skills necessary to help them be as successful as possible in school, at home and in the community. I created treatment plans and worked with the school system to create Individualized Education Plans (IEP). I worked with the parents to transfer the skills I was working on with their child so the family would not need me indefinitely. I accompanied the child and the family on outings to help manage behaviors and guide the parents in how to best support their child. I learned that children do not change in a vacuum; they need the support of their families, and therapists need to account for this. I loved this work and grew immensely as a therapist during this time. In 2012 I moved to Boulder, Colorado to attend Naropa University where I studied Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Art Therapy. Upon graduating in 2015, I began working with a sobriety coach who trained me in the differences between therapy and coaching. I worked with adults ranging in age from early 30's to mid-70's. Although the majority sought services for addiction, we worked on a wide variety of struggles- from empty nest syndrome to affairs, career counseling to abuse, and everything in-between. This work showed me that it is impossible to work on only one part of your life at a time; everything is connected and everything is worthy of our attention. After working as a sobriety coach for a couple of years, and honing my ability to uniquely combine art therapy with coaching, I decided to start my own business. And that brings me to now. I hope you find what you are looking for here. And I hope I can help you find it.
