My approach to massage therapy is rooted in maintaining a safe space for all bodies, races, genders, and ages. I believe when our nervous system feels a sense of safety change in our physical form takes place. I've always enjoyed working with my hands on detailed projects. 16 years in dentistry helped me develop tactile skills that led me to massage. I use deductive questioning (some call me analytical) to help inform me how your body moves, where it doesn't, and paramount what you're feeling. The techniques I draw from to address your needs are Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy, and Swedish. I trust my intuition, but value what you're experiencing. I am honored to serve your being with this wonderful work called massage.
Gabe Feit has been helping people improve mobility, function, and performance for over ten years. A graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts, Gabe began working with individual clients as a personal trainer at Portland State University, where he was a master trainer. His massage style incorporates elements of Thai, structural bodywork, corrective exercise, fascial release, craniosacral therapy, trigger point, and muscle energy techniques. His approach is collaborative, holistic, and clinical with compassion. Gabe understands well that life, when not a bowl of cherries, is a bouillabaisse of stressors, an ever-updating blend of impacts large and small. Sometimes we need compassionate touch; other times, an elbow in the trapezius is just the thing. We can only know through open communication, with one eye on the forest and the other on the trees.
River is a massage therapist and graduate of East West college. With a background in Psychology, their practice is built on a backbone of trauma-informed care and integrating spirit, mind and body to relieve stress and pain. In their spare time River is a hiker and fiber artist. As someone with chronic pain, they find creativity as a wonderful way to wind down and let the body relax after a long day. River’s practice centers on relaxing the body and mind through gentle Swedish techniques, passive movement and stretches, joint mobilization, and rocking vibration to awaken the fascia. They have advanced training in Craniosacral Therapy, which is incorporated into massage and offered as full-body sessions, which through light touch addresses fatigue and chronic pain, among other conditions. River is passionate about supporting clients in their personal healing goals and suggesting simple ways that you can make your life more comfortable.
I became a proud graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts in 2012, specialties include cupping and Ashiatsu. I save space for your self-care and offer a quiet, focused session using my integrated massage talents in modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, acupressure, pre/post-natal care. I provide medical massage for the rehabilitation of injury and illness as well. I love working on the head neck and shoulders the most with my Ashiatsu and fire cupping is a great integration into any massage. You can expect a true full-body massage with my hands feet or cupping material to include your sides if ever needed. If you want the deepest tissue massage I offer Ashiatsu and fire cupping for reverse deep tissue.
