Corinne Schwartz is the owner and founder of Centered Movement & Pilates LLC. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Long Beach with a BA in Dance Science, is an ABT Certified Teacher, and completed the BASI Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training with Dance Specialization. Her formal ballet training began in Santa Cruz, California where she performed the role of Snow Queen in the Nutcracker and trained to compete in the Youth American Grand Prix. With Corinne’s fascination of movement, her transition into Pilates came easily at the young age of 11. She was immediately drawn to the practice and injury prevention. This interest continued to grow as she attended college, with a focus on dance and kinesiology. She had the privilege of studying under CSULB’s distinguished faculty and taking Pilates courses with the renowned Karen Clippinger. Corinne has taught at various studios in California (Balletiquette, VIDA Pilates, One Body Studios, Playa Pilates, and Agape Dance Academy), assisted Karen Clippinger and Lisa Johnson in Pilates courses for dancers, and worked as a tutor for Dance Anatomy at CSULB. Corinne loves that Pilates is versatile, functional, and beneficial for wherever you are at in your movement journey. She strives to share the joy of movement and Pilates with her clients in a safe, welcoming, and positive learning environment.
