Dynamic Myofascial Release 1> - Massage
in San Diego, CA
Description: Myofascial Release (MFR) is a soft tissue therapeutic approach that provides varied sustained pressures and stretching into restricted areas (bound down tissues) of the body to eliminate pain and restore motion.
Additional Info: This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate.
The use of Myofascial Release allows us to look at each patient as a unique individual. Our one-on-one therapy sessions are hands-on treatments during which our therapists use a multitude of Myofascial Release techniques and movement therapy. We promote independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness.
One of the primary goals of Myofascial Release is to identify the cause of your pain, not just treat the symptoms. We find the pain, look elsewhere for the cause, then treat those areas as well.
