I was first introduced to Pilates at 19 with the hopes of creating more core strength and flexibility. Having suffered a herniated disk and knee injury while playing high school sports, the low impact reformers seemed very appealing. That’s where the love affair began. After seeing the positive changes Pilates had on my body, I decided to go through teacher training so that I could help others achieve the same. I am classically trained and fully credited in all apparatuses (Mat, Reformer, Chair, Trapeze, and Ladder Barrel). I am also certified in Barre, Bellicon (mini rebounder), and Scolio-Pilates. My passion is teaching students the importance of biomechanics as a way to reduce chronic pain and discomfort in the body. Through my own journey into Pilates and how it changed my relationship with my body and chronic pain, I hope to give the same gift to my students. I love the personal connection with my clients and seeing their body’s change week by week. I am constantly inspired by my clients growth and mind-body connections. I believe knowledge is power and the more we understand about how the body is wired to move the more successful my clients transformations will be. I am also very passionate about working with young athletes to teach them how to properly control and move their bodies with intention to prevent injury and long term problems that plague athletes, particularly knee, back and shoulder problems. I am constantly reminded how important Pilates is for quality of life and being able to enjoy life moving with power and intention instead of pain. I focus on teaching every class using the 5 basic principles of Pilates: scapular movement and stabilization, rib cadge placement, pelvic placement and stabilization, and head and cervicle spine placement. My husband Jared and I have been married since 2019 and have 3 fur babies - Bruce and Bodhi and Finn. We enjoy spending time outdoors camping, paddle boarding, hiking, traveling or road tripping.
