Gilded Opal Salon- Amie Buttram 

Amie has been doing hair for 16 years. She took over the salon and created Gilded Opal in 2018. She is originally from Southern California and moved to Portland in '09. She found her passion for hair at the ripe age of 9 years old when she learned how to french braid. She feels like making people feel good about themselves is a superpower and there is no greater feeling than seeing a happy client admiring her work in the mirror. Outside of the salon, you'll find me spending time with my husband, son, and dog. She has a passion for travel, food, horror movies, the great outdoors, and trashy reality TV. I actually really want to see all your cute pet/kids/vacay pics! I love connecting with all my clients but I'm also a natural introvert and don't mind if you're not in a chatty mood. I don't believe there's a such thing as awkward silence. I just want all my clients to feel comfortable as you are, and to enjoy your experience in whatever that looks like for you. I will also always give my honest opinion on your hair and what I think is the best plan of action for you. I am currently accepting new clients!
