Julia is especially trained to work with parents of children and teens. She is a graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio where she received a BA in Elementary Education. She spent several years teaching in various school settings (International, Christian, and public). Prior to coming to South Carolina, she was the Director of Children’s ministry in a large church in Northern, MI. Julia loves children and families and it is her heartfelt desire and calling to serve Christ by actively reaching out to families to walk alongside parents as they equip and develop their children. Julia found Connected Families during a heartbreaking season of parenting. They had been down so many different avenues looking for help without success. They found a Connected Families Parent coach and it completely changed the trajectory of their family. The Connected Families framework helps parents recognize what’s really going on in their children and provides practical tools to guide their children, with love and connection, towards wisdom and responsibility. Connected Families weaves together the latest brain science, understanding of attachment theory and child psychology into a beautiful grace-filled plan for parenting. Because of the incredible difference that Connected Families made Julia's life, she has a heart to walk alongside other families and equip them with perspective and tools so that they might experience that same change and restored hope that she found through her coaching experience. Parenting is hard work! We need people to walk alongside us and to help us on our parenting journey. Working with a parent coach helps you apply the ideas and tools of the framework into the unique situations in your home. Please contact Julia if she can help your family find confidence and bring more peace and hope to your parenting journey.
