Sarah is a certified yoga instructor and holistic psychotherapist, bringing a unique blend of mindfulness and healing practices to her students and clients. For over 20 years she has enjoyed empowering individuals on their journey to wellness, both mentally and physically. With a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, Sarah seamlessly integrates yoga and holistic psychotherapy to create a nurturing and transformative experience for those she works with. Her classes and workshops extend beyond the physical postures of yoga and are designed to challenge and cultivate self-awareness, consciousness, and emotional balance.
Laura has been practicing yoga on and off since 2001. In 2023 she decided it was time to dive deeper into her own practice and completed a 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training led by lifelong friend and incredible teacher, Jamie Marion (E-RYT 500, JMYogaSchool). She truly believes yoga is for everybody and that your practice will meet you where you are in the present moment; no expectations or judgement. Laura's classes focus on breath, asana (physical poses) and meditation; honoring yoga's roots.
Kitty is a certified yoga instructor and executive leadership coach living between Mexico City, her hometown, and Bay View, Michigan, where she spends her summers. Kitty originally found yoga as a means to heal her back from years of dancing ballet and fell in love with yoga's ability to meet you where you are. Trained in Vinyasa and Bikram yoga, Kitty's classes foster a deep connection to your body as you seamlessly transition from one pose to another. Her teaching style emphasizes mindfulness and personal growth, making each session a journey toward inner peace and self-discovery.
Sue is passionate about fostering strength not just for today, but for a lifetime of wellness. Throughout her life, she’s valued the community, confidence, strength, and baseline fitness that has stemmed from intentional and consistent movement. As a retired teacher and certified personal trainer, her passion for helping others grow in their fitness journey has brought her to Harbor Yoga.
Lynn is a northern Michigan local who loves winter more than she should and lives by the saying "There is no bad weather, just bad gear." She applies this philosophy to winter activities, too: "There is no bad winter activity, just bad conditioning!" Lynn has more than 20 years of Classical Pilates teaching experience, is a certified massage therapist and mountain bike coach, and earned a B.S. in Athletic Training -- all of which combine to give her a unique perspective on athletes, anatomy and injury prevention. Lynn will provide a "core" foundation for all your winter activities.
