I fell in love with yoga a in 2005. My first love was hot yoga, I loved the predictably of the sequence and the heat on my body. Shortly after I found yoga I took my teacher training with CorePower Yoga in Southern California, this training introduced to me so much more than hot yoga. At the time I was a mother of 2 children under the age of 2. Yoga helped me not just physically but mentally and I continued my studies with training in Yin, Therapeutic Yoga and Kids Yoga. In my practice and eaching my focus is not how deep our body is in the posture but is the body aligned correctly. Yoga for me is about empowering oneself to look inwards and love who you are.
My job is to empower your practice on the mat so that you can empower every part of your life off the mat. My students practice in the Vinyasa and Yin traditions of Yoga while they study Yoga Nidra Meditation and the Eight Limbs of Yoga Philosophy. All classes are accessible for all bodies - this was a principal of my training. My instruction is based on my education in Anatomy and informed by The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Come with curiosity, bravery, and your natural, adorable weirdness. Leave with a sense of wonder and a renewed connection to your inner badass. 👊 See you on the mat Follow @harboryoga Follow @katielodgeyoga E-mail: katielodgeyoga@yahoo.com
