The child of a mother in the beauty industry, V (she/they) recalls a few at-home foils creating her first moneypiece at the tender age of ~7. V has since been dabbling in rainbow and creative color since. A rogue self-colorist for many years before buckling down and obtaining her cosmetology license, V boasts a decade of out-of-the-box creative color experience. After graduating from the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute (Seattle, WA) and beginning Gary Manuel salon's advanced training program, it didn't take long to realize she needed to become an independent stylist loyal to her own rainbow branding. V has had the honor of assisting alongside Kasey O'Hara (Pulp Riot), Roxie Jane Hunt (Free Your Hair Salon) and has received continuing education from creative color powerhouses Caitlin Ford, Jaymz Marsters, and Roxie Jane Hunt. Aside from color, V loves experimenting with classic glam waves, fingerwaves, and wet sets. If you have an editorial styling idea, she's the stylist for you. V currently limits the services she provides to match her beliefs on chemical safety within the beauty industry. She is constantly striving to find ways to educate and empower both her clients and the environment. Originally hailing from Seattle, she travels back once every other month to maintain her clientele. When not in the salon, you can find V teaching at Pole Fiction, playing with her circus friends at The West Side Theater, or whirring away on her sewing machine at all hours of the day. All new color clients are strongly encouraged to book a free consultation before booking a service. Currently only offering lightener-based and creative color-based color services as I am a still searching for an oxidative color line that doesn't exacerbate my chemical sensitivities. Megan Jane Rodriguez has been a licensed cosmetologist since July 2016. Her favorite part about being a beautician is helping others look and feel their best. She loves education, and makes it a point to take classes to learn hot new techniques, or refine the classics. ¡Se habla español!
