I started practicing yoga 18 years ago as a calming lunch break from my corporate job, in those early days it was impossible to close my eyes and calm my mind during savasana. Today my practice is fundamental to managing stress; my mat is my calm in the storm - a place where I am fully present. It is where I have learned to trust and honor my body and connect with my soul. My 200 hour yoga certification is from Zen Zone Yoga. I am currently enrolled in Flow School with the goal of bringing creative movement beyond traditional sun salutations in circular patterns that will calm and challenge. Outside of yoga I work as an IT Director, have one adult son, love to read, enjoy road trips on the back of my partners motorcycle and strive to find more time for naps and paddle boarding. I am passionate about raising awareness and removing the stigma related to substance use disorder. I strive to teach classes that provide fellow yogi’s with knowledge, strength, calm and tools that help them be kinder to themselves and the world. I look forward to meeting you all!

My Pilates journey started twenty years ago after multiple spinal surgeries. Fortunately I had always been extremely physically active so I was otherwise in good health. Struck gold with a physical therapist who was a Pilates instructor and who designed a physical therapy program around the Pilates discipline. I was immediately hooked and became a Pilates devotee, then later earned both Pilates and Yoga certifications as a way for me to keep up on my own wellness program. I had no idea at the time how rewarding it would be to witness the change in people as they realized how much they were capable of, the visible change in their bodies and the stories of how Pilates improved their lives. Pilates is a results driven discipline and it's work - but the results are undeniable. Pilates is not meant to replace other activities and athletics but to help do those things better because with a strong core you can do more. I emphasize the NSV theory (non-scale victories). We tend to put the scale number in the highest regard when really we are victorious in so many other ways. Adopting the NSV theory builds confidence not only on the mat but beyond into our everyday lives. I firmly believe Pilates and Yoga compliment each other and that belief is why I am certified in both. I’ve seen and personally experienced the results of a mind-body wellness program, and delight in sharing with others what I've learned.

Meet Crystal My first Yoga class was at a YMCA (cue the music!) 20+ yrs ago, and I was looking for a way to build strength and flexibility, but what I found was so much more. Although my practice has evolved over time it has helped me stay grounded, present, and grateful, in the studio and in the hustle-bustle of daily life. Outside of class, I am a mom, an IT professional, and a partner in a passion project centering on cycling tourism. Off my mat and away from my computer you can find me enjoying a good book, doing anything outdoors (cycling, kayaking, running), or exploring some creative outlet. My 200-hour yoga certification is from Power Life Yoga coupled with MVP Online training. I am also currently exploring Ayurvedic practices. As a Yoga teacher, I strive to make every class a fun and fulfilling adventure that feeds the mind, body, and soul. I hope to share, learn and grow with each of you, as we make the world a better place, one breath, one posture, one class at a time.

Gwen believes her role as teacher is to create a safe environment where she can encourage, inspire, and help each student establish the practice in their daily life regardless of age, ability, or circumstance. She believes Ashtanga yoga is a lifelong practice as she has had five clients practicing into their nineties with improved quality of life. When I first tried Zumba, I couldn’t stop smiling during my first class. I may have been laughing at myself, but I really needed to smile. I also needed cardio and I hated running, so I kept going back. After attending the same class several weeks in a row, I actually started to “get it” and I’m not talking about the choreography. I started to get that Zumba isn’t about doing the steps right or dancing well. Nobody cares if I look a fool or fabulous. It’s about moving our wonderful bodies to some freest music while building real friendships. Once I escaped my head, I learned to set myself free and I’m SO THANKFUL that I did. I’ve been a licensed Zumba instructor since 2019. I’m a wife, mother of two, daughter and friend just doing the best that I can. Thank you for having me!

My first experience with Buti Yoga was in Kirksville, MO at my favorite little yoga studio in 2015. The music was loud, we laughed, we sweated, and I fell in love! Since then I became integrated into the Buti Yoga network in Kansas City where I became certified to teach Buti Yoga in 2017. I have taught ever since, and I feel that I always meet the most wonderful women (and men) through Buti. It is my goal in each Buti Yoga class to challenge you, to encourage you, and to get to know you.

I believe yoga is for everyone. I want to inspire people to become the person they were created to be physically, mentally and spiritually. I'm a E-RYT with well over 15,000 hours on the mat as an instructor. My classes are warm, challenging and soulful . Inspired by all kinds of music, I use gentle alignments to help yogis discover more about their own body. I share thought provoking insights to challenge yogis to live yoga "off the mat" and bring the 8 limbs of yoga to the practice. When I'm not teaching yoga or co-leading Zen Zone Yoga Teacher Training, I'm a certified health and life coach for a Functional medicine practice in Kansas City, MO. I'm married to my college sweetheart, have 3 children, 5 grandchildren and a dog. You'll find me doing yoga on the water at Lake Jacomo on my SUP or our sailboat; I also enjoy cooking, cycling, hiking, knitting, reading, running and getting creative anyway I can. I hope to see you on the mat soon!

Jacqueline Eaton
Jacqueline Eaton

Jacqueline is a caring, intuitive, and compassionate teacher who creates an inviting and warm environment for all. Her personal yoga journey began in 2014 with a weekly class in a community center which quickly grew into a commitment to finding ways to live a more peaceful, joy-lead, and grateful life. Along this journey, Jacqueline found that yoga was the missing link needed to initiate her healing and connection with her truth. With a deep desire to connect, heal, and teach others, Jacqueline initiated and completed her RYT-200 in 2017, which later lead her to complete her Pilates Mat certification, Barre certification, and pursue her comprehensive 600-hour Pilates certification. To Jacqueline yoga is universal. It can be a great way to start or enhance a physical exercise regiment but it can also offer a deeper dive into the self through the connection of mind, body, and breath. Jacqueline uses the versatility of yoga to structure her classes by using the physical practice to build strength and grounding while providing students with the opportunity to find a deeper connection through breathwork and thought-provoking meditations. Her hope is that you leave her class feeling refreshed, nourished, and strong in mind, body, and spirit. Off the mat, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her two corgis, family, and friends as well as cross-stitching, belly dancing, and taking every opportunity to learn and grow.

Fitness has always been my outlet and friend. I cannot imagine my life without it. Pilates came to me in college. My roommate taught it and got me hooked. When I moved to KC in 2005 I could not find it anywhere. I was encouraged to get certified and teach it! One of the best decisions I have ever made. I have built many amazing friendships from my Pilates, and Yoga practice community, and I continue to want to keep learning. After 13 years of teaching Middle School, and currently having a middle schooler at the time, I realized I was burnt out and miserable. I wanted a change and I wanted to follow my passion. I was encouraged by another great friend to get trained in Pilates equipment (Reformer/Cadillac/Chair/Barrels). I took the biggest risk of my life and quit my day job. Another one of my best decisions. I married my amazing husband, and we added two babies to our family. I have 1 going to college next year, and 2 in diapers. I LOVE what I do and I want you to feel that. It never

Beth Schwope

Meet Beth Ann Schwope she has appreciated yoga and the practice for years from a distance, providing mindfulness and movement for her kids when they were young, and briefly incorporating moments of breath/body connection into her day. She just started practicing regularly in 2023 and fell in love with how it so ideally helped regulate her nervous system. Showing up on her mat, even distracted, overstimulated, and far from perfect, is always the best thing she does for herself. Six months after a trip to Tulum with Megan's Yoga Tribe, she began Yoga Teacher Training with Ruthann Zentner 500 E-RYT and Tricia Tayrein 200 E-RYT. This started unearthing the layers of what it looks like to deepen her practice, and laid the foundation for teaching yoga. Beth loves a poignant and clever analogy, a brisk walk, live music, and creating anything and everything from chicken coops to couture dance costumes. Equally comfortable in excessive rhinestones and durable coveralls, she is always discovering something new about herself and this beautiful planet. She has a heart for music and the arts, neurodivergent learning, and understanding & compassion when it comes to mental health and suicide awareness. Beth is passionately and unwaveringly dedicated to her 3 children. Know that you can attend her classes precisely as you are. She hopes to facilitate confidence and love of self and others with her thoughtfully crafted classes. She loves a good theme and has been frequently known to go a little overboard with it. My first experience with yoga was in college and it was a practice I continued to come back to time and time again. In 2020 I started practicing regularly and found so many physical, mental, and emotional benefits. It became my way to press pause on the hustle and bustle of life and truly take some “me” time. I love all of the wonderful things that yoga gives me and I want to share that gift with others. In 2021 I completed my 200 hour yoga certification from Power Life and am consistently looking to expand my practice and education in the yoga space. When I am not on my mat I am working as a Director of Communication/HR for a financial literacy company, going on a walk, spending time with my friends, or diving into a good book. I love a great cup of coffee and am always planning my next trip or adventure.
