Massage therapy has always felt like a natural fit for me. I've been in the health and wellness field for over 20 years, starting out as a personal trainer in 2003 and moving into massage therapy in 2006. After graduating from ODU with a B.S. in Exercise Science, I knew I wanted to deepen my knowledge, so I attended the Swedish Institute in NYC, the oldest massage school in the country, and completed over 1000 hours of training. I have a lot of experience working in physical therapy and rehab settings, which gives me a unique perspective on facilitating healing. My background as a former personal trainer helps me understand the body and how to help my clients recover and stay healthy. I specialize in deep tissue, myofascial, and trigger point therapy. Over the years, I've worked with a wide range of clients, from Olympic and professional athletes to the elderly. I believe in letting the body guide the therapy, and I always tell my clients that massage doesn't need to be painful to be effective. I love educating my clients on how to listen to their bodies and take a proactive approach to their preventative care.
