Network Spinal Practitioner “What if I’m ticklish?” and other FAQ’s Who are you? I’m Tonnie, former bruiser; current healer. I was raised on a hog and beef farm in the northwest corner of Illinois. Wrestling with pigs and my brothers as a youngster lead me to pursue the sport of rugby while attending Gustavus Adolphus college. Rugby is gloriously fun; and brutal. One can only function with numb arms along with constant neck and shoulder pain for so long. I needed some help. I found a practitioner who offered me the gift of her loving touch using a technique called Network Spinal. I felt like a human again. Actually, I started to feel like a super-human. Not only did my physical symptoms start to go away, but my brain and being felt upgraded. I decided that I too wanted to help other humans feel like super humans. What is this place? This is a place for seekers. Do you feel like you just want more? More ease in your body, more ease in your being, more vibrancy in your life and more pizzazz in your step? Why should I care? Because life is too short to feel like crap all the time. Is it true that you once lifted a car? The rumors are true. On the way to our rugby match, my friend and I got a flat tire. The car jack raised the car about an inch shy of the height required to get the job done. Network Spinal allows me to sometimes make careless choices with my body and still be able to walk. Warning: one’s mileage may vary. What if I’m ticklish? Yes, Network Spinal is an extremely gentle healing modality, however, tickling is not part of the process. How come your tables look a little beat up? Because sometimes I drag them over to 3rd world countries to offer my healing gifts to the masses. I’ve had the privilege of sharing my work on healing mission trips to India and Africa. I’m in, what should I do? Schedule your initial consultation with me. Click here. Let’s be super-humans.

I completed my training at CenterPoint Therapeutic Massage in 2014 and have had additional training in Advanced Shiatsu, Thai Massage, and Active Isolated Stretching. The style I use incorporates a bit of all 4 modalities. The goal of our work together is to help you recover and recuperate your muscles and fascia as much as possible. My style of massage tends more towards Therapeutic (versus Swedish or relaxation); I look at the body in a mechanical/clinical way. When I was in the Air Force, I performed aircraft maintenance, and now I perform maintenance on the body.
I've always been into health and fitness. I taught aerobics for over 20 years. When my son got into a car accident in 2008, I was amazed to see all the different modalities available to help him heal. This is how I was first introduced to massage and I just fell in love with the healing capacity of massage. In 2012 I was inspired to start taking classes for massage at National American University, where I received an associates degree. I'm passionate about the health and wellness of my clients and aspire to assist them in living healthy, long lives. I really love it when a client comes in with something specific I can help them with!
I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am the mother of two children whom I love to spend time with. I received my Associate degree of Applied Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology in 2018 at Purdue University Global. I worked in the field for over 5 years helping individuals find help for their needs. Initially, this work was gratifying, however eventually the toxic nature of the industry started to take a toll on my soul. I still had the desire to reach the population, but this time in a healing manner. I always had a natural affinity towards the healing power of touch and was intuitively good at it. I decided to pursue this life-long interest in a professional way, so I began attending school at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Minneapolis where I recently graduated as a board-certified Massage Therapist. I have been trained in many massage modalities, including Reflexology, Aromatherapy, trigger point, stretching, deep tissue, relaxation, myofascial release, sculpt massage, injury care and more. One of my favorite massages to do is Swedish massage with some trigger point and stretching in areas the muscles are knotted up with some range of motion exercises. I love learning and look forward to continuing my education in the future to expand my skill set. Overall, my mission is to make a difference in people's lives by providing the most effective services for their needs.
As far back as I can remember I have been led to offer kindness and care to others. It was this desire which prompted me to pursue an undergraduate degree in psychology, join the army, and to complete a master's degree in education, as well as certificates in Health Coaching, Functional Nutritional Therapy, Biofeedback, Mind-Body Medicine, and so much more. At a deep level I believe that our bodies, minds and spirits have an amazing capacity for healing and repair. I find purpose and joy in life by inspiring others in their pursuit of vibrant health, joy, peace, and a deeper spiritual life. The journey toward health and healing is best taken with a friend and I would be delighted to take that journey with you.
