Yoga was a big part of Eliot’s journey toward choosing happy. After losing weight, he felt like doing something active with his body. That’s when he found yoga, and he’s been practicing ever since. Upon graduating yoga teacher training, his teacher named him “Margubandu,” which means “friend on the path” in Sanskrit. And that’s exactly who he is. The founder and owner of Why Weight, he’s dedicated his career to guiding others to be the driver of their own choices and detach from the illusion that we can’t have it all. Teaching yoga is another way he fulfills this dharma.
200 HR YTT Kripalu trained Diva!!!!(jk) LMT Lisa Acosta - Kripalu Certified 200 RYT I discovered yoga in 2001. In order to do the massage work I was doing full time, I needed something to keep me limber and grounded throughout a strenuous day. I've always been an active person and having trained in the martial arts for some years, it was very natural for me to pair up the two movements I was doing daily: massage work and yoga. When I look back, I see how yoga has been such a blessing to me on so many levels - not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. It is with great gratitude when I realize I can lead others to integrating yoga into their lifestyle now. My hope is that my profound love for yoga, enhanced with the respect I have for each individual’s body, comes across in my teaching and in my life. Namaste
