Jilnar began as a student at Be Yoga Andersonville 7 years ago seeking a way to strengthen her mind and body for her stressful career in Mergers & Acquisitions. She is originally from Lansing, MI and has moved all around the country landing in Darby, MT Spring 2022. Jilnar describes her journey on her mat and with Yoga as transformative, “in the beginning I saw it as resistance training, if I could make it through my 90, I could make it through anything.” The transformation came when she discovered Yoga was a choice and that she had all the strength that she needed; there was no need to resist. Jilnar was ready for a full transition and knew that embracing a life of yoga would help her to fulfill her journey, meeting her Mind, Body, and Spirit. After being laid-off Jilnar began to focus on self-care, traveled the nation, and focused on her practice. Jilnar teaches from a place of authenticity and care and looks to continue to grow and focus on using Yoga to heal trauma and create space in communities for the elimination of generational violence.
