Margaret has enjoyed the last 40 years following a personal dharma of ‘a teaching life’ that included swim, aquatics, and aerobics, alongside an early academic career of teaching science and developing curriculum in the Norman public schools. More recently, Margaret spent several years promoting fitness to all levels through her personal training business, including aerobics, yoga and pilates. She will retire in 2021 after enjoying the last 15 years of teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology at Northeastern State University. Margaret recently completed her 200 Hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training with My Vinyasa Practice of Austin TX, and is certified through Yoga Alliance. Margaret focuses on teaching how a committed practice of yoga can reshape physical and mental well being, increase flexibility and muscle strength, improve cardio-respiratory and digestive health, all while balancing the nervous system. She invites you to join her in exploring how something as simple as focus on breath and gentle movement can begin to transform the SELF and foster a sense of pure awareness.
Shawn began practicing yoga in 2006. In 2015 she completed her 200RYT in Shambhava Yoga. Through the years she has completed additional trainings in Upper Level III/Inversions, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, and Yoga for Teens. In December 2020, she graduated from Dance of Shakti Flow and has reached her 500RYT. Shawn will offer a welcoming, fun environment as she eases you into feeling comfortable on the mat.
