This love was cultivated during my training at Virginia College where I finished first in my class in 2014. I believe that healthy hair is the foundation of all beautiful hair styles. Team Leader and Level 3 Service Provider I am Trinity McMahon, a proud graduate of Aveda Institute class of 2019. I grew up watching both my grandmother and grandfather style hair at their salon. After practicing on many dolls, I decided to start styling my own hair in 5th grade. As I grew older, my family members and closest friends would ask if I could style their hair and I was always overjoyed to do so. I knew then I wanted to pursue a career in cosmetology. My main goal is to help women of all ages maintain the health of their natural hair. Most importantly, I want women to feel beautiful and comfortable in their natural beauty!

Level 2 Service Provider I, Thersa Comena, a proud graduate of Aveda Institute Class of 2022. My passion stems from watching the women of my childhood work their magic behind the chair. Just being in the room as I experienced my mother’s stylist enhance the beauty of her clients amazed me. I began to love hair the more I learned about it. I often heard that a woman’s hair is her power. It is amazing to know that a slight color change, a cut, or even a curl or coil can build confidence, enhance a smile, and exude strength. My goal is to be able to help women and young girls embrace their natural beauty and their power.

Level 1 Service Provider My name is Nia Irvin, I graduated from Aveda Arts Institute in June of 2022. As a kid, I grew up around my auntie and mom styling me and my sisters' hair. Eventually, I became curious and decided in middle school that it’s about time for me to do my own hair. My mom and I began watching videos and trying different styles. Our first style, we tried together, was box braids. My first experience with styling my little sister's hair was amazing. I loved seeing her smile and laugh because she was overjoyed with the outcome of her hair. At that moment, I realized this is something I wanted to do. That’s what initially attracted me to the beauty industry was the unique way we give back to the community. As a cosmetologist, when we give back it doesn’t only make people look beautiful on the outside but also touches something within.
